I have a 21sf as a duty weapon, and off duty I generally carry a 30sf as my personal weapon. There is a significant difference in recoil between the two. I find the 21sf to be far more accurate due to the slide length and overall weight. When it comes to the 30s vs the 30sf I tend to find the s model to be just a little snappier than the sf.

The difference in the grip size between the SF and the Gen 4 (without any back straps installed)is insignificant (read as virtually the same), the only real difference is the grip texture. The standard Glock 30 has a grip that is larger, front to back.The HST was almost as good with the best group being about 2.5 inches. The PMC bronze 230 gr ball and Winchester Ranger were almost identical with both groups averaging just a tad over 2.5 inches. The 30sf hated the TAP rounds. The best five shot group with TAP was 4.5 inches. Also, I noticed some inconsistency with Hornady TAP.

Back to the 30 and XD, I personally like the XD a lot. For 9mm, Glock wins over XD, and in 45 XD wins over Glock. The 30S and the 30SF share the same frame. It's a Gen3 Short Frame "SF". The short frame is reduced trigger reach essentially. So the length from the back strap to the front of the grip is shorter. Same as what a Gen4 is with no added back strap.
