It defaults to on with each start up, so possibly a headlight motor is bad that moves the lights. That may also disable the auto setting on the turn signal stalk. It's integrated into "nearly everything". You can turn off most features, of course, as has been mentioned.

When turning on my car instantly almost all indicators stay illuminated and the dash screen starts letting me know Eyesight off-check owners manual, RAB disabled- check owners manual, ect.. with blind spot, traction control, lane assist, uphill assist and the like.
