Well, I'm not up on the H&R's, but with no caliber markings it would be dated before 1905 and manufactured for black powder. Yeppers.. If it doesn't have a caliber marking it is a 1st Model - made between 1888-1904. If it has a caliber marking it is a 2nd Model - made between 1905-1941.

We will need pictures (all sides, and sharp/clear as possible), and the info on top of the barrel typed out exactly as it is stamped. H&R Collector.
