My preference is actually for g34 length holsters, but g17 is a more sure bet for most people. The owner of tenicor actually carries in a g17 length velo as well, and the owners of a number of other good holster companies have noted this as well. Jon Hauptmann of PHLster calls it the keel principle, he put out a good video on YouTube explaining it.
