Going 6L look for a k2500 in the yards that was hooked to a 6.0 for the nv4500. For an LQ9 I think you are looking for Escalade or Denali donars.The TPI were not a real power full engine. There are a lot of options for power and performance, for you TBI 350. If you are going to do a swap, the easiest swap is a built 383 TBI direct swap crate engine. If you want something more modern, then a 6.0L is a good choice, but an even better choice, is the 6.2L Corvette, Camaro engine.I have a stock 5.3, with stock manifolds. The 4l80e bone stock will handle any abuse a stock 6.0 can throw at it. If not then L96 + 6Lxx tranny, the L96 and 6l90 will probably take more work to integrate, so it'll be more expensive. The ls pump and lines work with trucks steering box. update: I ended up going to the junkyard and snagging the return hard line at the steering gear box from an obs truck, and the hard line and hose i bought new from advance for the feed line on the 2003 LS pump. the new LS pump/lines bolt directly to the 1990 gear box. works like a charm.
