Had the exact same thing happen a few weeks after I got my 2018 Outback. I was using a non-Subaru sun shade that snagged on that felt/foam strip around the Eyesight camera and disabled the system. To turn off RAB there are two different icons and for some reason people tend to press the icon than turns off the warning but not the icon that turns off the braking. The warning icon is on the bottom right and the braking icon is on the bottom left of the reverse screen.However it never goes black while driving causing the eyesight etc. to turn off.
