With the starter talisman, you can easily net a level 6 critical Eye which can grant a flat 30% affinity. It also has consitution 3 for stamina heavy weapon types so Bows, Dual Blades, Insect Glaives, and Hammers will love the Izuchi S set.

The Felyne Valstrax set provides the highest defense for Palicoes in the base game. It is better used against monsters with Dragon Type attacks. However, this set provides negative resistances for most of the elements. But having 155 defense is a good trade-off for having negative elemental resistance.IMO sticky is the only real way to build support LBG because sticky is technically a status ammo type (which is the entire reason to choose LBG over SnS for support) and because it doesn't really require much to get it going meaning you lose less damage overall compared to other ammo types.
