The reserve is .87 gallons. That leaves 2.83 gallons available before you have to hit the reserve. I assume that the 3.7 gallons is when the tank is filled to the top.

Upon further inspection I noticed gas dripping from the carburator vent hose under the bike. I initially attributed it to extra gas in the carb from messing with the throttle during the swap. Fast forward to today, 3/18/15, I went back to start the bike up again and again saw gas dripping from the vent hose.

Now I don't know exactly how big your tank is, or how the bike gets for mileage, but my 06 spirit 750 gets about 120ish before having to switch.
