Deleted my grid heater a couple months ago with a GDP delete plate, now that it is a little colder in the mornings I am getting a check engine light due to it. I searched and couldn't find a thread that solves this without putting a throttle valve grid heater in. Does anyone know how to solve this ...open a can of worms. essentially there have been. a few cases of the grid heater bolt breaking off and finding a home pounded into the top of cylinder 6. the belief is the bolt loosens and electrical current arcs causing it to fall off, or constant elec current arcs causing it to fall into intake.A couple of things are happening, fuel is being pumped the engine is doing some computer checks and if the weather is cool, there is a powerful heater, heating up the intake so that the engine starts easily.
