i would like to capture in a single thread anyone who has had an incident with their late build 2015/2016 wrangler with the 3.6 Pentastar engine. (CEL or thrown code) ENGINE MISFIRE CODES. P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire. P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire. P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire. P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire. P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire.P0300, random missfirs. P0175, rich bank 2. During driving test, scan equipment noted something about "cylinders 2, 4, 6 misfiring excessively". The shop also did some Google searching and found a service bulletin that seems to fit these codes. Engine is still running, I can accelerate, downshift gears, etc., but I pull over to get my code reader out. I get the following codes: P0300 - Random misfire. P0315 - Crankshaft Position Sensor not learned. P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. Hope you get it fixed, but Eric the Car guy mentions that a loose / slipping belt CAN cause a P300 code. Belt and Pulley Basics - EricTheCarGuy - YouTube.Its a #2 cylinder misfire. Make sure the wire is on nice and tight. Clear the code and run it. If/when the light comes back on with a P0302, move the #2 coil pack to a different location. It is a 2005 rubicon unlimited 4.0L. 165,000 miles. I can feel a slight studded when it is in idle. (Sometimes it's more than slight but that is rare.) It throws the 0300, 0304, 0306 pcodes. 0306 was the original cod thrown.
