May 16, 2022 · I recently came across this Rivian R1T with a couple of mountain bikes mounted out back and thought it would be great to see what everyone's setup is like. Using Yakima high speed fork mounts on Rivian cross bars. Works great. Or if you like, a simple moving pad across the tailgate. I believe heard a Rivian rep (Brian?) say the R1T can be driven with the tailgate down/open (90 degrees) for long loads, so that would obviously negate any camera(s) in the tailgate. Looks pretty thin but it’s hard to tell from the photos. I have a raceface pad that works really well, is reallly well padded, and holds 5 bikes. That said I like the way the Rivian pad looks and fits so am on the fence for sure.
