You need to look at one of the train ticket threads for how to get the free travel on the trains. The local buses are cheap and efficient, get a green bus card (you only need one between you) from any Tabac and top it up with €10.
Both are highly ranked here on TripAdvisor. It is about a 35 minute walk from one hotel to the other. Occidental Fuengirola is at the western end of Fuengirola about a 15 minute walk from the Fuengirola train and bus stations. Fuengirola is underground, and Los Boliches is raised. Both have lifts. Stations at many resorts along the CDS are a long way from the sea, and in the hills. If you want flat this is the place for you. Avoid Torreblanca and Carvajal, which sometimes get mentioned as 'Fuengirola', but can be hilly. Report inappropriate content. 3.
