I used an Exacto saw for the recoil spring area. I used the wife's Emory set for the file work. It flexes and doesn't scratch other areas. I had to file quite a bit on the rear rail to get it to clear the trigger bar. It shoots really well. Looking forward to the next build.

I took my G23 apart and installed all of the parts on to the P80 frame to do a function test and seemed to work fine, maybe just a little rough on the slide movement, but that should smooth out.

Rocky brass is always $110 shipped for the frame. (Currently out of the 19 frame, but re-stocks regularly) Slide parts kits can regularly be found for $85. A cheap barrel is $60. Hardest part is finding a cheaper slide. Typically a build will cost ~$460 without mags if you dont wait for sales.
