In my game, the standard stations were about 25k in strength, while the anchors were 80k. That made it easier to identify. But you will have to go through each system to identify them. I am playing a game where while fighting the grey tempest, the unbidden decided to jump in, then the fallen empires awoke and decided to have a civil war.

It's bugged out. Happened to me too. Leave the system and allow another fleet to spawn and retake the system, then enter as close to the portal as you can get and try to focus it down before the system control station dies. The Scourge also have a similar bug where I couldn't bomb the infested worlds unless it was under control of them.

It shows up in the contacts as a neutral faction and it's only unit is the portal itself. Not sealing it ends the rift plot immediately and generates a wormhole. I didn’t check what’s on the other side of the wormhole, but it’s presumably some kind of threat.
