Moonlight Great sword is an amazing weapon due to the fact that you only have to buff intelligence to really soft cap its dmg while pretty much every other weapon in the game will not be able to soft cap so easily. Even with its split dmg, thanks to its high AR it makes it not too big of a deal, especially as Magic is an amazing offensive element.

It's definitely good. I'm dual wielding it with another int scaling special Greatsword, it does solid damage and the beam attack is really useful against some enemies. The main downside is that the scaling falls off a cliff at an int of higher than 50, I'm at a full +10 on it at 50 int and going to 51 gets me a single point more damage ... They scale a bit differently... So, for the Darkmoon GS I would keep leveling INT to ca. 55-60, followed by whatever DEX you can spare. The reason is that DMGS scales best with INT, and then equally with STR and DEX. But, DEX improves your casting speed, benefiting any spells you are using (which you should, given the massive invest in INT). Best end game greatsword? Wolf knight's, black knight's, Gaels and the basterd sword are some nice ones. Hollowslayer got that swagger R1 moveset tho, best one IMO.
